Breastfeeding Support Provider
Care Packages & Crisis Consultation Care from £150

Hello, I’m Alison. I am a mum and grandmother, and a trained midwife, general nurse and homeopath who has been providing breastfeeding support services for over 30 years around the globe. I offer bespoke, personalised video consultation services, focusing on breastfeeding preparation and post-delivery support.

My service offers advice to prepare for breastfeeding, close step-by-step support and guidance from birth and throughout the early weeks of feeding; also the resolution of breastfeeding problems including painful feeding, supply problems, unsettled babies etc.

All sessions are supported by the provision of advice sheets reminding of and reinforcing the content of the sessions.

My advice is based on many years of experience, and evidence from the latest medical research. I use simple, natural methods to help my clients master the skills of breastfeeding quickly, easily and comfortably, to achieve effective breastfeeding and settled babies.

I am registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, with professional indemnity insurance through the Royal College of Nursing.

All consultations are delivered via video-calling (Facetime, Zoom etc) which provides a powerful tool for a private, intimate environment, facilitating observation and discussion of breastfeeding issues in the mother’s own home – no visitors to tidy for, and no need to disturb you and your newborn to attend appointments!

Availability is 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm, subject to capacity. My service typically commences within minutes or short hours following the first client contact via email.

Fees are charged at a flat rate, based on the delivery of a holistic package of care or the resolution of specific issues.

The time delivered to clients varies, according to need, but is typically 3-6 hours of face to face support across several sessions, lasting from a few days to several weeks.

During Covid-19 restrictions, I am continuing to provide all my usual services. Demand is currently high while face to face NHS midwife support is restricted, so please contact me as early as possible if you need help.

"I was so grateful to be pointed in Alison's direction! I contacted her with an issue I was having with breastfeeding, she replied immediately and after a quick phone call she got to the bottom of the problem. She then helped me on video calls and followed up everyday via text to check we were ok. It’s hard being a first time mother at the moment, so it was a blessed relief to meet Alison who patiently worked with me to sort out the problem. I would 100% recommend Alison to anyone needing support."

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Alison’s expert help to anyone who is planning on breastfeeding. I and the majority of my new parent friends found the first few days and weeks of breastfeeding highly emotional and sometimes distressing. Alison’s clear and matter of fact help alleviated a lot of the stress and turned breastfeeding into a much more manageable and positive experience for me. She is extremely responsive, answering the multitude of questions I had, often during early mornings, evenings and weekends; this makes help feel very hands-on despite only being able to work together virtually. I can’t thank her enough. I only wish I had started to work with her before my baby was born!"

"Alison completely transformed my breastfeeding experience. I was recommended her advice at a time of crisis, close to giving up breastfeeding. She has been the most incredible support and transformed my experience into something enjoyable and special. If you have any troubles, concerns or questions about breastfeeding, I couldn’t recommend Alison responsive (even at very short notice!), extensive knowledge and incredibly reassuring."

"Thank you so much for your amazing support yesterday. You provided just the right help at just the right time. My nipples are feeling so much better, and I feel much more confident about breastfeeding. The midwife came this morning and was delighted with us - she couldn’t believe the difference! Thanks so much for the advice, and for boosting my confidence with your support."

"You have been a huge help to me and I can’t thank you enough. You walked me through the trickiest of times and taught me all sorts of tips and tricks - I will feel forever indebted to you!"
